Five Dream Tryout Winners Announced
Overtime Select hosted its first ever Dream Tryout on May 14-15 and made a historic decision when they selected five girls to participate in the upcoming OT Select season. The Dream Tryout was an opportunity for 18 girls to tryout for a spot on one of the eight teams competing in the second year of OT Select. Here is a breakdown of each of the five girls selected ๐
Jada Lynch
๐Class: 2026
๐Position: Guard
๐Hometown: Belmar, NJ
Jada Lynch is a multi-faceted guard who is equally adept at scoring from long range and bulldozing her way into the paint. Her mom is former number one ranked tennis player in the world Kim Clijsters. Lynch grew up in Belgium where she scored a career-high 40 points playing for the Belgian national team ๐พ
Bella Owumi
๐Class: 2027
๐Position: Power Forward
๐Hometown: Boston, MA
Bella Owumi is a skilled forward with incredible touch around the rim and elite defensive instincts. In her playing career, Owumi has already won three separate state titles and surpassed 1,000 points scored in her high school career as just a sophomore. Both of her parents were Division I collegiate athletes; mom played softball and dad played football ๐
Dasia Scott
๐Class: 2027
๐Position: Power Forward
๐Hometown: St. Louis, MO
Dasia Scott is a quintessential stretch big, shooting the lights out from distance while also using elite footwork and strength to score down low. Scott helped to lead her team to the Missouri State Championship as a freshman. Her career-high of 38 points came in a win over East St. Louis ๐
Cam Golston
๐Class: 2026
๐Position: Guard
๐Hometown: Atlanta, GA
Cam Golston is a shifty guard who is adept at creating her own shots and getting to the rim while also playing lockdown defense on the perimeter on the other end of the court. Golston helped lead her team to a state championship as a freshman. She posted a career-high 27 points on Sacred Heart High School out of Louisville ๐
Amaya Manuel
๐Class: 2027
๐Position: Guard
๐Hometown: St. Louis, MO
Amaya Manuel is a pure bucket getter, scoring from all over the floor whether it's pull ups from deep, a beautiful float game in the midrange or slashing to the cup, she can do it all. She has won back-to-back state titles alongside her twin sister in Missouri. She surpassed 1,000 points in her high school career in the state championship game this season ๐ญ
