Meet Your OT Select Captains
The captains for the eight teams at OT Select have been announced and, rest assured, OT Select is in good hands. Season two of Overtime Select will be headlined by some of the biggest stars in the sport with six players returning from year one as captains and two new faces that are sure to amaze. Check out the breakdowns of each of the captains down below:
Saniyah Hall
Team: All Knighters
Rank/Year: 1st, 2026
Position: Guard
Hometown: Lorain, OH
Saniyah Hall returns to OT Select this year after helping lead ISO WRLD to the championship game last season. Hall will take on the role of a captain for the first time this year, taking over the lead role on the All Knighters. After her stellar performances last year, Hall moved up to the number one ranked player in the class of 2026 and has not relented that position all year long. Playing at OT Select last season, Hall hit a game-winner against the All Knighters to send ISO WRLD to the playoffs and now looks to take the very team she defeated all the way to the promised land in 2025 ⚔️
Kate Harpring
Team: Cold Hearts
Rank/Year: 2nd, 2026
Position: Point Guard
Hometown: Atlanta, GA
Kate Harpring was the breakout star of season 1 of OT Select leading Double Dynasty to the first ever championship and becoming the first ever OT Select MVP in the process. Now Harpring returns and will be the captain of the only new team at Select this season, the Cold Hearts. Harpring catapulted up to second in the class of 2026 following her performances at Select in year one and has just carried that momentum all the way into year two. Harpring was named the Georgia Gatorade Player of the Year for 2024-25 and was invited to the Team USA 17U tryout. Harpring is already one of if not the greatest player in Select history and looks to build on that resume in year two 🥶
Tatiana Griffin
Team: Drifty Dreamerz
Rank/Year: Top 25, 2028
Position: Guard
Hometown: Norco, CA
Tatiana Griffin is one of two new players who will be captaining a team this season, as she takes the helm of the Drifty Dreamerz. Griffin is one of the top ranked players in the class of 2028 and is the youngest captain this season. In her freshman season of high school, Griffin led Ontario Christian to a record of 30-2 and had them as the highest ranked team in the nation at season’s end. She plays alongside fellow OT Select captain Kaleena Smith at Ontario Christian. She finished in first place in the Paris 1v1 tournament, showing just how gifted an isolation scorer she is. The Drifty Dreamerz had a disappointing first year and now Griffin is tasked with leading them to new heights 😴
Kaleena Smith
Team: ISO WRLD
Rank/Year: 1st, 2027
Position: Point Guard
Hometown: Ontario, California
After leading ISO WRLD to the title game in year one, Kaleena Smith returns for a second year as the captain of the team and looks to elevate them in year two. In her first season at Select, Smith averaged over 20 PPG while also leading the league in assists, as a true do it all point guard for her stellar team. As a freshman, she eclipsed 1,000 points in her high school career, a truly remarkable achievement. She scored her career-high of 62 points as a freshman and was also named the MaxPreps National Freshman of the Year. As a sophomore she led her team to a record of 30-2 and the number one ranking in the country and was also named a Naismith Girls High School First Team All-American. Smith returns this season with vengeance on her mind and with hopes of pushing ISO WRLD over the hump they were so close to eclipsing last year 🌎
Jenica Lewis
Team: Royal Reign
Rank/Year: 19th, 2026
Position: Guard
Hometown: Johnston, Iowa
After being named as the captain of Royal Reign last year, Jenica Lewis missed the entire season with an injury and now returns in her role as captain with hopes of taking care of some unfinished business. Lewis has led her high school team to back-to-back undefeated 26-0 seasons as the team’s leading scorer. Her team has also won back-to-back state titles and for her efforts, Lewis was named to the All-Tournament Team and as the Tournament MVP in 2025. After a season marred by injuries, Lewis hopes to power Royal Reign to previously unseen highs 👑
Jordyn Palmer
Team: RWE
Rank/Year: 5th, 2027
Position: Wing
Hometown: Oxford, PA
Jordyn Palmer is one of two new players who were selected as captains for the upcoming OT Select season and she will take over the wildly popular RWE team. Palmer is a two-time Gatorade Player of the Year, winning the honor in Pennsylvania as a freshman and a sophomore. She has already hit 1,000 points in her high school career and has also won a gold medal with Team USA in her young career. Palmer helped lead her team to the high school State Championship this season. RWE was upset early in the season last year and now Palmer is tasked with returning the RWE to their former glory 🌊
Oliviyah Edwards
Team: Venom Tears
Rank/Year: 4th, 2026
Position: Forward
Hometown: Tacoma, WA
Oliviyah Edwards was a breakout star in the first year of Select, winning the Queen of the Court competition as a member of YGE and returns this year as a newly minted captain, taking the reins of the Venom Tears. After her breakout season last year, Edwards was invited to the team trials for the Team USA U17 squad this year. Edwards is one of the only players in women’s high school basketball who can dunk and will show off her skillset whenever presented the opportunity. The Venom Tears were upset early last season and Edwards has taken on the duty of getting her squad to previously unattainable heights 🐍
GG Banks
Team: YGE
Rank/Year: 6th, 2027
Position: Point Guard
Hometown: Wilmington, DE
GG Banks returns as the captain of YGE this season, after electrifying the league last season as one of the most dynamic playmakers the league has ever seen. Banks was largely responsible for carrying YGE to the semi-finals last season after she hit a game-winner in the bubble breaker. As a freshman, Banks was named the Gatorade Player of the Year in Delaware and led her team to a state championship. She surpassed 1,000 points in her career as a sophomore and was also invited to Team USA minicamp. After shocking the league last season, Banks looks to build on YGE’s success and take them to their first ever title game 💸
