OT Select Takeover Firework Filled

Overtime Select completed its annual Takeover event this weekend, where the biggest stars in high school women’s basketball descended on Atlanta for an unbelievable weekend of basketball 🤩

The weekend started with Next Up 5’s on Friday evening, where college superstars JuJu Watkins and Flau’jae Johnson coached teams of high school superstars against one another. JuJu’s team won three of the four quarters and took home this year’s crown thanks to dominant displays from Kaleena Smith and Jordyn Palmer 👑

Smith was named the Next Up 5’s MVP after dropping a disgusting 40 point double-double in her first ever Takeover game. Smith will be captaining ISO WRLD again this season, after leading them to the championship game last season. Palmer also showed out posting a nasty stat line of 25 points and 17 boards, as she made a statement that she is to be feared heading into this OT Select season 😤

For Team Flau’jae, Kate Harpring showed why she was named the Overtime Select MVP in her first season, as she dropped 30 points while pulling down 13 boards. Harpring will be the captaining the Cold Hearts, the newest team at OT Select this year 🥶

On Saturday, Jordyn Palmer made even more of a name for herself when she took home the Queen of the Court title, defeating Trinity Jones in the final matchup 👸

Newcomer Jemini Mitchell closed out the weekend, when she was crowned the champion of this season’s Trey Ball Challenge. Mitchell defeated Atlanta native Leah Dewitt in a thrilling final round 👌
