Royal Reign comes into the season sporting one of the deepest rosters in the entire league, as one of just two teams with every player on their team ranked in the top 100 of their respective classes. Royal Reign is prepped and ready to take their well-balanced squad all the way this year ๐Ÿ‘‘

Royal Reign returns captain Jenica Lewis, although she will be making her OT Select debut this season after missing the entirety of last season with an injury. Lewis is a 5-10 guard who enters this season as the 19th ranked player in the class of 2026. Lewis has had an unbelievable high school career up to this point, winning two state championships in Iowa which included leading Johnston High School to a 26-0 record this year. In her first game back from injury this season, Lewis dropped 22 points ๐ŸŒฝ

Jenica Lewis is the only returning player from last year's Royal Reign squad, however, she is not the only returner from OT Select. Ashley MacCalla (2027, 36th) returns to Select after playing with YGE last season, where she averaged 11.0 PPG and 6.0 RPG in helping lead the squad to the semi-finals. Khalia Hartwell (2027, 24th), who played for RWE last season, enters this year as the top ranked player in all of South Carolina ๐Ÿ’ช

On top of their talented returning players, Royal Reign also boasts a stacked crop of new players to OT Select. Bella Owumi made a name for herself at the OT Select Dream Tryout as a rangy forward with a knack for getting to the rim. On top of her Dream Tryout performance, Owumi also had an outstanding year in high school where she was named the Massachusetts MaxPreps Player of the Year. Owumi is joined by Morgan Stewart whose stock is on the rise after she was named the MVP of the Under Armour Future 60 Camp ๐Ÿ˜ด

Royal Reign welcomes three other new and immensely skilled players to the fold this year. Jaelynn Housey (2026, 76th) is an absolute stud of a defender finishing the summer on the EYBL circuit top five in steals at 2.4 per game. Aaliah Spaight (2026, 77th) has had a spectacular high school career thus far, being named as the Nevada MaxPreps Player of the Year as just a sophomore. Ambrosia Cole (2026, 98th), playing alongside OT Select alum and standout Aaliyah Chavez, helped lead her high school to their first state title in 44 years thanks to a gaudy stat line of 16 points and 12 rebounds โญ

Royal Reign will be coached by Sherri Pegues who has a long history in the game of basketball, most notably founding the Girls Basketball League. Pegues will be tasked with taking this deep Royal Reign squad to somewhere they have never been before: championship weekend ๐Ÿ†

Royal Reign opens its season this Saturday, August 2 when they will play against YGE on at 5 PM on YouTube. Tickets for the game and all other Overtime Select events are available on the OT Select Website ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ
