The Cold Hearts are OT Select Champions

📍 Cold Hearts 79, YGE 76 (OT Select Championship)

After an all-time season in which they went undefeated, the Cold Hearts took home the 2026 OT Select Championship on Saturday night. The Cold Hearts showed they had the heart of a champion battling back from a big double digit deficit, proving once and for all that they were the best team in the league this season and one of the greatest teams in Overtime Select history 🏆

Jordyn Palmer was the star of the show, adding to her already loaded awards cabinet after being named the Overtime Select Finals MVP. Palmer was huge down the stretch of this game, most notably scoring the final bucket to put the Cold Hearts up for good in the contest. She finished the night with 22 points and 14 rebounds, marking her third double-double of the season 🏅

The Cold Hearts dug themselves a deep hole early in the contest, trailing by as much as 18, however, they turned all the way up in the third quarter to turn the tides in their favor. The Cold Hearts out scored YGE 30-12 in the third quarter with star Morghan Reckley scoring 11 of those points. The fourth quarter came down to the wire still and with the Cold Hearts leading by one with 14 seconds left it was Jordyn Palmer who put the game away with a bully ball layup 😤

Reckley was spectacular as she had been all season, scoring 18 points, as the second leading scorer on the team, while also pulling down three boards and dishing three assists. Class of 2029 number one player Kristen Winston more than held her own with 14 points including a number of clutch mid-range jumpers. The last Cold Hearts player in double figures was Jemini Mitchell who came out of the gates on fire, hitting her first three shots of the game and finishing with 11 points 🔥

YGE put up an unbelievable fight and came up just short of their first ever Championship. Three-time YGE captain GG Banks' career came to an end on Saturday night but she went out with a bang. Banks led all players with 27 points while coming up just shy of a triple-double with nine assists and eight boards. Banks had one of the best career’s in OT Select history and finished second all-time in points and assists 🥲
