Overtime Select Week 2 Preview

The last two spots at Championship Weekend are up for grabs and four new, hungry teams are taking center stage this weekend to earn one of those two spots. Read below to learn about all four teams who will be taking the court this weekend.

Overtime Select tipped off last weekend and delivered on the promise of the most exciting and talented season the league has seen so far. This weekend the other four teams (All Knighters, Drifty Dreamerz, ISO WRLD and Venom Tears) are in action with the final two spots at Championship Weekend up for grabs. You see the full week two schedule and roster breakdowns below 🔥

Weekend Two Schedule:

Friday, August 7

📍 7 p.m. - All Knighters vs. ISO WRLD

📍 8:30 p.m. - Drifty Dreamerz vs. Venom Tears

Saturday, August 8

📍 3 p.m. - Winner’s Game

📍 4:30 p.m. - Survival Game

📍 6:30 p.m. - Bubble Breaker

ISO WRLD

📍 Captain: Kaleena Smith

📍 Best Ever Finish: OT Select Runner-Up (2024, 2025)

📍 OT Select Returners: Nation Williams, Bella Owumi

📍 Top 10 Players: Kaleena Smith (2027, 1st), Chloe Jenkins (2029, 2nd), Madeline Dates (2029, 4th)

ISO WRLD has consistently been one of the best teams in the league making the OT Select Championship Game in each of the last two seasons. However, up to this point they have been unable to get over the hump to bring home their first title in franchise history. Well if the roster is any indication this is the year things are going to be different for ISO WRLD. First of all they are led by three time captain and the OT Select all-time leading scorer Kaleena Smith. Smith, who enters the year as the number one ranked player in the class of 2027, is the most statistically dominant player in OT Select history and now, in her final year in the league, she looks to add the one missing piece to her resume: an OT Select Championship 🏆

Smith will be flanked by returning teammate Nation Williams who is the greatest rebounder in OT Select history. Williams and Smith make up the most fearsome duo in the league and with the rest of the surrounding roster make up the core of the OT Select title favorites. In addition to Williams, ISO WRLD is also bringing in OT Select vet Bella Owumi who was Royal Reign’s second leading scorer last year on their surprise run to the semis 💪

ISO WRLD is one of the older teams in the league, with six of its nine players in the class of 2027, however, its most impressive newcomers might be the two youngest on the team. Chloe Jenkins, ranked second in 2029, is the heir apparent to Kaleena following in her footsteps as her teammate at Ontario Christian for high school and now on ISO WRLD. Madeline Dates is just behind Jenkins as the fourth ranked player in the class of 2029, and the 5-10 guard has already secured an early offer from South Carolina 👀

All Knighters

📍 Captain: Ivanna Wilson-Manyacka

📍 Best Ever Finish: OT Select Champions (2025)

📍 OT Select Returners: Chance Berry, Ziyah Sims

📍 Top 10 Players: Ivanna Wilson-Manyacka (2027, 2nd)

📍 Head Coach: Ivory Latta

The All Knighters are coming off of the most dominant season that OT Select has ever seen on their way to the 2025 championship. Now with a largely new roster, the All Knighters are wrestling with the weight of expectations. If anyone is up to the task of handling those expectations though it is new captain Ivanna Wilson-Manyacka. Wilson-Manyacka has big shoes to fill as the captain of the All Knighters, following in the footsteps of stars Jazzy Davidson and Saniyah Hall. With that said Wilson-Manyacka has already proved more than capable with two gold medals with Team USA under her belt 🥇

The All Knighters will maintain some of their championship pedigree, returning two players from last year's championship winning team. Chance Berry, Canada’s top ranked player, returns after starting every game for the All Knighters last season. She will look to step into an even bigger role this season after posting averages of 9.3 PPG, 3.3 RPG and 1.8 APG last season. Also returning from last year's team is Ziyah Sims. Sims served as a big off the bench last season but is poised for a breakout year with an expanded role this summer 🇨🇦

The All Knighters strength isn’t just in their returners as they also welcome in a couple of highly touted newcomers. Jhaliana Guy is the 16th ranked player in the class of 2028 and is the best player to come out of the state of Iowa since former OT Select captain Jenica Lewis. Addison Archer is one of the best freshmen in the country, winning the California State Freshman of the Year award 🎯

Drifty Dreamerz

📍 Captain: Eve Long

📍 Best Ever Finish: Bubble Breaker (2025)

📍 OT Select Returners: KJ Acree, Dasia Scott

📍 Top 10 Players: Eve Long (2027, 5th), Kolbi Brooks (2029, 7th)

📍 Head Coach: Dominique Stringer

The Drifty Dreamerz had their best season in franchise history last year and they still only made it to the Bubble Breaker. This year they hope to take it a step further and make their first ever appearance at Championship Weekend. First time captain Eve Long is now at the helm after playing last season with the Venom Tears. Eve Long may be the most imposing player in isolation in the entire league as evidenced by her taking home the crown at the Queen of the Court competition at the OT Select Takeover earlier this summer. Long has lofty expectations for this squad and the roster around her is built for success 👑

The Dreamerz welcome just two additional OT Select returners back but both of them have a history in a Dreamerz uniform. KJ Acree started every game for the Dreamerz last season and was the team’s third leading scorer at 11.5 PPG. Dasia Scott was one of the winners of the 2025 Dream Tryout and she turned it into a role off the bench for the Dreamerz where she posted an average of 4.5 RPG 😴

The Drifty Dreamerz brought in an infusion of new talent this year led most notably by class of 2029 standout Kolbi Brooks. Brooks is one of the most prolific scorers in the league and is the number one ranked player in the state of Arizona. The Dreamerz also welcome Love Lei Best who is coming off of a summer in which she won the OT Select Dream Tryout and was named the Gatorade Player of the Year in Oregon 🦫

Venom Tears

📍 Captain: Micah Ojo

📍 Best Ever Finish: League Play (2024, 2025)

📍 OT Select Returners: Sydney Douglas, Madi Mignery, Lauryn Loritts

📍 Top 10 Players: Sydney Douglas (2028, 3rd), Micah Ojo (2027, 7th)

📍 Head Coach: Sherri Pegues

The Venom Tears are the lone franchise to have never won a game in OT Select league play but they are looking to flip the script on that story this season. Led by three year OT Select vet and new captain Micah Ojo, the Venom Tears finally appear to have a squad that can rival everyone else in the league. Ojo is coming off a summer winning gold with Team USA at the FIBA U17 AmeriCup and looks to bring the success she found there to OT Select. In her three years in the league, Ojo has never advanced to Championship Weekend. Ojo and the rest of the Venom Tears squad are looking to change their stories before it is too late 😰

The Venom Tears return just one player from last year's squad, however, you couldn’t ask for a much better returner than top ranked Sydney Douglas. Douglas is ranked third in the class of 2028 and is as imposing as they come, standing at 6-6 which makes her the tallest player in the league this season. The Venom Tears also brought in two OT Select vets in Madi Mignery and Lauryn Loritts. Mignery played 20 minutes a game last season for YGE and averaged 5.0 RPG while Loritts got title game experience playing with ISO WRLD last summer 🤯

As far as newcomers go you couldn’t ask for much more than twins Mia and Kate Spain who are coming off of a summer in which they played on the AAU circuit with captain Micah Ojo. The twins are both in the class of 2027 and are committed to play together at William and Mary. They also bring in Jaliyah Diggs who won the OT Select Dream Tryout this summer and comes in having been mentored by Overtime legend Paige Bueckers 👭
