The Venom Tears brought in a whole new roster and are looking to make waves as they have their sights set on a championship. Read all about their revamped roster down below.

The Venom Tears are back after an underwhelming first year in which they didnโ€™t even make bracket play butโ€ฆ that is all set to change this season. Under new leadership, the Venom Tears are absolutely STACKED this year, as they boast one of the deepest rosters in the entire league. The Venom Tears are one of just two teams with every player on their team ranked in the top 100 of their respective classes while also having the most players ranked in the top ten with four ๐Ÿคฏ

The Venom Tears are led by electric superstar and captain Oliviyah Edwards, who comes into the season as the second ranked player in the class of 2026. Edwards played last season on YGE where she helped lead them to a surprise run to the semi-finals and now has her sights set even higher that she is captaining her own team. Edwards first started to make a name for herself when she took home the Queen of the Court crown at the 2024 OT Select Takeover. Her size and athleticism are unmatched and will make her a terrifying force all season long ๐Ÿ˜ง

There are only two other players on the team who played at OT Select last season: Autumn Fleary and Brooklynn Haywood. Fleary is the 14th ranked player in the class of 2026 and played last season for Royal Reign where she averaged 7.5 PPG. Haywood meanwhile played her last season with RWE and established herself as a marksman from deep, knocking down 66.7% of her attempts from long range ๐Ÿ‘Œ

The Venom Tears welcome a trio of highly touted youngsters to their squad this year in Sydney Douglas (2nd, 2028), Haylen Ayers (5th, 2027) and Eve Long (9th, 2027). Douglas is one of the youngest players in the league, as a rising sophomore, yet she has already received nearly 40 collegiate offers. Ayers has had a spectacular career thus far and received one of the highest honors there is in high school basketball when she was named the Tennessee Gatorade Player of the Year last season. Long was recently named to the USA U16 National Team as she rounds out this trio of incredibly talented players ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

In addition to their trio of young stars that they have added, the Venom Tears also are bringing in Amalia Holguin (58th, 2026) and Zya Small (42nd, 2027) to add some elite depth to the roster. The final spot on the team went to Amaya Manuel (45th, 2027) who earned her way into Overtime Select via the Dream Tryout where she landed a coveted spot on the Venom Tears ๐Ÿ˜ด

The Head Coach for the Venom Tears this season will be former WNBA superstar Chamique Holdsclaw who landed in the Womenโ€™s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2018. Holdsclaw was the number one overall pick in the 1999 WNBA draft and had an accolade filled ten year career as a professional ๐Ÿคฉ
